1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to SupportCrib ("Company," "we," "our," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our Platform.
Acceptance: By creating an account, making a contribution, or creating a campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use our Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
Age Restriction: Our Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
To access certain features of our Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Account Types
- Creator Accounts: For users who create and manage campaigns
- Backer Accounts: For users who contribute to campaigns
- Charity Accounts: Verified non-profit organizations
Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including but not limited to:
- Providing false information
- Engaging in fraudulent activity
- Violating prohibited activities
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent rules
- Failure to complete campaign obligations
4. Campaigns & Funding
Campaign Creation
Creators agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about their campaign
- Clearly describe the project, its goals, and how funds will be used
- Set realistic funding goals and timelines
- Use funds only as described in the campaign
- Provide regular updates to backers
- Fulfill any promised rewards or deliverables
Campaign Types
- Simple Campaigns: All-or-nothing funding. Funds released when goal is reached.
- Milestone Campaigns: Funds released per milestone after backer approval.
- Donation Campaigns: For verified charities. Funds available for withdrawal anytime.
Campaign Approval
All campaigns are subject to review and approval before going live. We reserve the right to:
- Reject campaigns that violate our policies
- Request modifications to campaigns
- Remove campaigns that violate these Terms after approval
- Place holds on funds pending investigation
Funds and Payouts
Creators must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. Funds are held in escrow and released according to campaign type:
- Simple Campaigns: Released when 100% of goal is reached
- Milestone Campaigns: Released per milestone after backer approval (85% approval with 30% participation)
- Donation Campaigns: Available for withdrawal immediately
Payout Timing: Once released, funds typically arrive in your connected bank account within 2-3 business days.
5. Fees & Payments
Platform Fee
Our platform fee is 6% of each contribution. This fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, support, and other operational costs.
Fee Payment Options
Backers have two options for the platform fee:
- Option A (Deduct from payout): You pay your intended amount. The 6% fee is deducted from what the creator receives.
- Option B (Add on top): You pay extra to cover the 6% fee. The creator receives 100% of your intended amount.

Fee Transparency: The 6% platform fee is the only fee. No hidden charges.
6. Backers & Contributions
Making Contributions
When you contribute to a campaign, you agree to:
- Provide accurate payment information
- Ensure you have sufficient funds for the contribution
- Understand that contributions are generally non-refundable
- Accept that creators are responsible for fulfilling promises
- Vote on milestone releases when applicable
Refund Policy
Contributions are generally non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:
- The campaign fails to reach its funding goal (automatic refund)
- The campaign is found to be fraudulent (after investigation)
- The creator fails to deliver promised rewards (case-by-case basis)
- Technical errors resulting in duplicate charges
Milestone Voting
For milestone campaigns, backers have the right to vote on milestone releases:
- Voting period lasts 14 days
- 85% approval required with at least 30% contributor participation
- Your vote is tied to your contribution email
- You can vote without creating an account using your contribution token
Backer Responsibilities
As a backer, you understand that:
- Crowdfunding involves risk. Projects may face delays or fail
- Creators are independent and solely responsible for their campaigns
- SupportCrib is not responsible for creator non-performance
- You should do your own research before contributing
Backer Beware: Crowdfunding involves risk. While we screen campaigns, we cannot guarantee every project will succeed or deliver rewards.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
Fraudulent Campaigns
Creating campaigns with no intention of fulfilling promises or delivering rewards
Illegal Activities
Promoting illegal products, services, or activities
Hate Speech
Content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence
Intellectual Property Infringement
Using copyrighted or trademarked material without permission
Impersonation
Pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting affiliation
Market Manipulation
Self-funding campaigns to create false momentum
Platform Abuse
Hacking, scraping, or interfering with platform operations
Spam
Sending unsolicited messages or promotional content
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
8. Intellectual Property
Our Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its code, design, layout, graphics, and logos, is owned by SupportCrib and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform (campaign descriptions, images, videos, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for Platform operations.
DMCA Compliance
We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please contact our DMCA agent at copyright@www.supportcrib.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief
- A statement under penalty of perjury
- Your electronic or physical signature
9. Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through account settings
- Contacting support to request deletion
Upon termination, your public content may remain visible, but your personal information will be removed within 30 days.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Request by law enforcement
- Extended periods of inactivity
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Platform ceases immediately
- We may delete your data (except as required by law)
- Any pending contributions may be cancelled
- Unreleased funds will be handled according to campaign terms
10. Disclaimers
AS-IS BASIS: THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Campaigns will succeed or deliver promised rewards
- Creators will fulfill their obligations
- We will correct any errors or defects
- The Platform is compatible with your devices or software
We are not responsible for:
- Creator misconduct or campaign failure
- Backer dissatisfaction with campaigns
- Third-party services or links on our Platform
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Any damages arising from Platform use
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SupportCrib AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
- Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform
- Any conduct or content of third parties on the Platform
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or (b) $100.
Jurisdictional Limitations: Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SupportCrib and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your campaign or content
- Your interactions with other users
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms.
14. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiations.
Binding Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that:
- You may assert claims in small claims court
- Either party may seek injunctive relief in court
- Intellectual property claims may be brought in court
Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. THERE IS NO RIGHT FOR ANY DISPUTE TO BE ARBITRATED AS A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS ARBITRATION.
Arbitration Process
Arbitration will be conducted by [Arbitration Association] under its rules. The arbitration will be held in [Your City, State] or via remote participation.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform and terminate your account.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SupportCrib regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
